About the Opportunity 

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join our Finance team in a part-time position (25 hours per week). 

Working between 8:00am and 4:00pm, this role offers flexibility in how the 25 hours are worked across the week. For the right candidate, there is a genuine opportunity to transition into a full-time permanent position. 

This role is ideal for an experienced Accounts professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy, and is committed to delivering excellent financial support across the business. 

About the Role 

Reporting to the AP/AR Manger, you will provide day-to-day support across the Accounts function. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Support Accounts Payable including processing vendor invoices and payment runs. 

  • Assisting with Accounts Receivable  

  • Assisting with month-end vendor reconciliations. 

  • Supporting payment processing and general finance administration. 

  • Responding to vendor and internal account enquiries. 

  • Maintaining accurate financial data and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. 

  • Providing administrative support to the wider Finance team as required. 

Systems You'll Use 

You'll work with a variety of finance and business systems as part of your daily responsibilities, including: 

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365  

  • Microsoft Excel (including formulas, spreadsheets, reconciliations and data analysis). 

  • Microsoft Outlook  

  • Microsoft Teams for collaboration across the business. 

  • Online banking and payment platforms  

  • Internal reporting systems to assist with month-end reporting and financial record management. 

(Experience with large ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Pronto, NetSuite or similar will be highly regarded.) 

About You 

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience as an Accounts Officer or in a similar finance role (applications without this level of experience will not be considered). 

  • Proven experience across Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable, account reconciliations and general accounting functions. 

  • Experience with 3 way matching (P2P) and OCR 

  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a similar ERP/accounting system. 

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including working with spreadsheets, formulas, reconciliations and financial reporting. 

  • A sound understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. 

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. 

  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional, customer-focused approach. 

  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. 

  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow within the business.
