Are you mechanically minded, safety focused, and looking for a stable hands-on role within the agricultural industry? We are seeking a reliable and motivated Mill Operator to join our growing team supporting piggery operations through the safe and efficient manufacture of stockfeed.

About the Role
As a Mill Operator, you will be responsible for safely monitoring and operating plant and equipment associated with stockfeed manufacturing while ensuring production targets and feed schedules are met efficiently.
You will play a key role in maintaining smooth mill operations, minimising downtime, and ensuring feed quality and hygiene standards are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain stockfeed manufacturing equipment and raw material storage systems
- Monitor plant equipment and production systems to minimise downtime
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and complete basic mechanical repairs within skillset
- Report plant operating parameters that are not meeting production targets
- Maintain mill cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Follow FeedSafe documented processes, SOPs, work instructions, and quality procedures
- Ensure all workplace health and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Work collaboratively within a team environment to achieve daily production schedules
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience operating machinery or working within a production/manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures
- Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
- Reliable work ethic with a willingness to learn
Previous experience in feed mills, agriculture, manufacturing, or farming operations will be highly regarded but is not essential.
