The opportunity
We are currently seeking a Production Administrator to support the Export Boning & Packing Room department, in ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the office. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing production and operational reports for management, maintaining attendance and absenteeism records, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Answer and direct phone calls in a professional manner;
- Ensure Boning Room reconciliations are recorded accurately
- Ensure all product codes are set-up in print terminals each day prior to commencement of each run.
- Collect accurate absenteeism data and provide to EBR Manager upon request.
- Generate down time reports for Export Boning and Packing Rooms
- Ensure specification changes are printed and made available to area supervisors as required.
- Maintain an accurate register of butt cartons and butt bins.
- Collect information on re-works and airies from Packing Room Supervisors, collate and make available to EBR Manager.
- Be involved in team meetings and ensure minutes are recorded and forwarded to EBR Manager and appropriate Senior Managers;
- Any issues from other departments must be reported to manager prior to following up;
- Ensure timesheets are completed and accurate;
- Ensure Payroll System schedules are complete and accurate;
- Review pigs in stock records daily and provide feedback to EBR Manager.
- Maintain filing systems & records;
- Deliver all hand-held thermometers and CB7 probes to QA for weekly calibration and ensure they are collected once completed.
- Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports

- Strong communication skills
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office
- Prior experience or Certificate in business administration desirable
