Title: Piggery Attendant

Location: Millmerran, Queensland

Hours: Monday to Friday - 38hrs per week

Roster: Working every 2nd weekend (6 hours Saturday + 6 hours Sunday)

Reporting to: Farm Manager

Job Description

Opportunity

We are seeking a Piggery Attendant to join our farming operations in Millmerran, Queensland.

This hands-on role supports the daily care and management of pigs across the farm, helping to ensure high standards of animal welfare, biosecurity and farm productivity. The role is suited to someone with some experience working with livestock or within farming environments, or someone looking to further develop their skills in livestock production.

Working as a part of a small farm team, you'll assist with feeding, monitoring pig health, maintaining clean facilities and supporting breeding and production activities across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Feed pigs and monitor feed and water intake
  • Observe livestock and identify signs of illness or injury
  • Assist with treatments, vaccinations and health monitoring
  • Maintain clean pig sheds, pens and equipment
  • Follow strict biosecurity, hygiene and animal welfare procedures

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

You're reliable, practical and comfortable working in a hands-on farming environment. You may already have some experience with livestock or farming, or be looking to build your skills in agriculture.

You will bring:

  • Some livestock or farming experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Physical fitness for hands-on farm work
  • Commitment to animal welfare and biosecurity standards
  • Current drivers licence
