Job Description
Opportunity
We are seeking a Site Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our breeder site located in Meningie, South Australia.
This role is responsible for coordinating farm operations and supporting the production team to ensure strong animal welfare outcomes, efficient farm performance and a safe working environment. Acting as the link between senior management and farm employees, you will oversee the production activities, manage staff performance and ensure operational targets are met.
This role is ideal for a Senior Stockperson, Leading Hand or Piggery Supervisor ready to step into a farm management position.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage daily farm operations and production activities
Monitor pig health, welfare and environmental conditions
Ensure feed, water and housing conditions support optimal production
Supervise and support farm staff while maintaining clear work priorities
Maintain farm hygiene, biosecurity and housekeeping standards
Ensure production targets, reporting and administration requirements are met
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
You're a practical and motivated leader who enjoys working with livestock and supporting a team. You have some experience in pig production or livestock farming and are ready to take on greater responsibility within a commercial farming environment.
You will bring:
Experience in pork production or livestock farming (dairy, feedlot, poultry or similar - highly regarded)
Ability to lead and organise small teams
Strong communication and time management skills
Basic computer skills for reporting and maintaining relevant farms systems
Commitment to animal welfare and biosecurity standards
Current drivers licence
